GWSR 18 & 21/08/11
Our two most recent visits to the 'friendly line in the Cotswolds' brought two extremes of the ' British summer' weather! A rain soaked Thursday 18th August saw No:2807 hauling service trains and we dropped by Cheltenham Racecourse station to see it on the 10:40am departure. However, a return visit to travel on one of the inaugral 2807 supporters' trains on Sunday 21st August heralded a nearly cloudless blue skies! We also managed to catch the Turkish 8F TCCD No:45160 at Greet Tunnel using the footpath just above the southern portal. Happily, since our last visit to that location all of the undergrowth between the path and the portal had been cut back opening up new vistas to our lenses! Photos (9)

Shakespeare Express 17/07/11
Totally-transport.co.uk popped down to Wilmcote again on 17th August 2011 armed with both our stills camera and HD camcorder to watch No:5043 'Earl of Mount Edgecumbe' on the late afternoon departure from Stratford. However, all did not go quite a according to plan! The location we'd chosen was close to the canal, just over the bridge that carries the footpath over the railway. Suffice to say, a hedge got in the way of the video and the resulting stills were only captured by way of a last minute dash onto the bridge! Photos
